This is a very nice and popular casino located inside the 5-star Semiramis Hotel, on the third floor next to the Night Club. It has a main gaming area and a separate high-stakes private gaming area. The roulette is the American double-zero version and you tip the dealer if you win (optional). The minimum bet at roulette is from $1 and card games from $5. There is a snack bar inside the casino and four hotel restaurants on the floor below the casino.

This is a small and nice casino located inside the 5-star Fairmont Heliopolis Hotel. It has three roulette tables, five card tables and 27 slot machines. The hotel is located near Cairo Airport, which is about half an hour drive from the city centre and therefore most of the casino's customers are the hotel guests. The gaming activity is dependant on how busy the hotel is and it fluctuates with seasonal tourism. The roulette is the American double-zero version and you tip the dealer if you win (optional). The hotel facilities are first class and the service is outstanding.

This is a very nice and popular casino located inside the 5-star Ramses Hilton Hotel, on the second floor (called "P" Level). It has a main gaming area and a separate high-stakes private gaming area. The roulette is the American double-zero version and you tip the dealer if you win (optional). There is regular blackjack and blackjack variation with 'Perfect Pairs'. The minimum bet at roulette is from $1 and card games from $5. There is a snack bar with seating facility and you can order dishes from the hotel restaurants. The 'Falafel' restaurant is right next to the casino serving middle eastern food with non-stop live entertainment, open from 7pm to midnight. The hotel facilities are very good and the service is excellent.

General: Egypt is one of the most populous countries in Africa and the Middle East. Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments.
Currency: The Egyptian pound is the current legal currency of Egypt, but the US Dollar and the Euro are widely accepted. The Egyptian pound is divided into 100 piastre or 1000 milliemes. Although the ISO 4217 code for the Egyptian pound is EGP, locally the abbreviation LE or L.E. (Livre Egyptienne) is used everywhere. The exchange rate as of 12 December 2008 is 5.50 EGP to one US Dollar, 7.37 EGP to one Euro and about 8.30 EGP to one GB Pound. The maximum amount of local currency you are allowed to bring in or take out of Egypt is 5,000 Egyptian pounds. There is no limit to the amount of hard currency that you may bring in, but sums that exceed USD 10,000 should be declared on arrival. In most, if not all, of the casinos in Egypt the US Dollar is the gaming currency.

Taxis: Taxis from Cairo airport wait in front of the two international terminals. Only take queued taxis at the airport. The taxi cab then stops at a checkpoint before leaving the airport where you will be asked to sign a form indicating your destination. The best way to determine the price of the taxi ride is to ask how much the ride will cost before you get in. Make sure the cab driver knows where he is going before he starts moving. If you are not going to a major hotel or to a major tourist destination, obtain beforehand an exact address or, better still, the name of a nearby landmark from a guidebook or ask the tourist information at the airport for help. It is not uncommon for a taxi cab with passengers already in it to pick up more, as long as the cab will not be going out of its way to drop off the second group.
