The live card games start at 5pm. The Amusement City is located within about 15 minutes walking distance from St. Stephen's Green.

Review - Editor's personal experience at the Colossus Casino Club in Dublin: This is a nice casino with friendly management and casino personnel. The gaming area is in one hall on the ground floor with nine table games. Recently, they have introduced touch-bet electronic roulette and have extended the opening times of the casino to 24 hours. Complimentary soft drinks are served. You need a Passport or photo ID to sign up and you receive a membership card on the spot and 10 Euro in chips for free. This free money in chips you can only use to place a bet, at any table, but you cannot exchange it for other chips, such as roulette coloured chips, or for cash. The Colossus Casino Club is located within about 10 minutes walking distance from St. Stephen's Green.

Additionally there is a card gaming area on the first floor where tournaments for poker players are held. There are no slot machines. There is a snack bar serving food and soft drinks. Review - Editor's personal experience at The Sporting Emporium Club in Dublin: This is probably the best casino in Dublin. Looks and feels new, elegant setting with warm and friendly atmosphere. Welcoming and friendly staff: at the reception desk, the management, the casino personnel and bar tenders. When you sign up they take your picture and also a biometric scan - fingerprint ID. The main gaming area, including the 'Salon Prive', for casino table games is on the first floor with a bar, a lounge and a restaurant with live sport TVs. There are no slot machines or video games. On the second floor there is a card room for poker players with 14 tables, a bar and a lounge. On the ground floor there is sport betting by Chronicle Bookmakers, the most advanced betting shop in Ireland. Toilet facilities are available on each floor. There is a dedicated smoking area on the ground floor. In this casino they serve alcoholic drinks and they are complimentary while gaming. The Sporting Emporium Club is located within about 5 minutes walking distance from St. Stephen's Green.

Useful information on Ireland
General: Ireland is made up of four provinces which are broken down into 32 counties. Six of these counties are in Northern Ireland and 26 are in the Republic. Dublin is the capital of the Republic and is Ireland's largest city.
Language: English is the spoken language throughout Ireland. Irish or Gaelic is the original native language of Ireland. Place names and signage are usually in both languages.
Currency: The Euro is the only currency that is recognised as legal tender in the Republic of Ireland. Each euro has 100 cents.
Smoking: Since 29 March 2004 smoking is banned in all enclosed places of work in Ireland. This includes public buildings, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and casinos. Most pubs and some restaurants and casinos have installed a dedicated smoking area or patio.
Gambling age: The legal minimum age for gambling in Ireland is 18, but some casinos require that you are 21 to allow you to become a member.
Alcohol in the casinos: Most Irish casinos do not serve alcoholic drinks inside their premises.
Tipping in the casinos: It is common to tip the dealer if you win, but this is optional.
Taxis: You can stop a taxi in the street or pick up one from a taxi rank. Expect to pay between €25 and €35 from Dublin Airport to the city centre. Alternatively, you can use the 'Aircoach', an express coach service serving major hotels in the city centre and south Dublin.
