USA casino guides Index
Minnesota casinos are located on Indian reservations and by an agreement reached with the state the only type of table game allowed is blackjack and the only kind of slot machines allowed are the electronic video variety. Therefore, you will not find any mechanical slots that have traditional reels-only video screens.
Minnesota casinos vary in size starting with the intimate Lake of the Woods operation in Warroad with seven blackjack tables all the way up to the massive Mystic Lake complex Prior Lake with its two casinos and 111 blackjack tables.
Not all casinos are open 24-hour. All casinos normally offer: video slots, video poker, video keno and blackjack. The minimum gambling age is 18 or 21 if liquor is served.
For more information on Minnesota call the state’s Office of Tourism on (800) 657-3700.
